Who we are

Chefyro is a recipe app and website at chefyro.com. This notice explains what we collect when you use the site, the API, or the iOS/Android apps.

Account

When you register we store your email, username, display name, password hash, language, and optional diet tags and avatar.

We do not currently send verification or password-reset emails. Keep your password somewhere safe.

What you save

Favorites, collections, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items, and reviews are stored on our servers so they follow you across devices.

Visor scans

Fridge photos you scan are sent to our API and to Google Gemini to identify ingredients. We keep a count of scans for quota, not the photo itself.

Payments

Chefyro Pro is sold through Apple App Store, Google Play, and (when enabled) Stripe. We store subscription status and store transaction ids. Card numbers stay with Apple, Google, or Stripe.

Cookies

The site language is in the URL (/tr, /en, /es, /fr, /de). We also set a language cookie (savora.locale) and, after sign-in, tokens in local storage. We do not run advertising pixels.
