Instructions
- 1
Trim the stem ends of 500 g fresh green beans and snap each bean in half. Dice 1 yellow onion into small 0.5 cm pieces and finely mince 2 garlic cloves. Set a wide pot on the stove.
- 2
Pour 30 ml olive oil into the pot over medium-high heat. Add 350 g ground beef and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, breaking the meat into crumbles with a wooden spoon until browned through.
- 3
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the browned beef. Lower heat to medium and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the onion becomes soft and translucent, stirring to prevent sticking.
- 4
Stir in 30 g tomato paste along with 8 g salt and black pepper mix. Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes, mixing constantly until the paste turns fragrant and dark red.
- 5
Add the prepared green beans to the pot and toss well to coat in the beef mixture. Pour in 400 ml warm water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then cover and reduce heat to low.
- 6
Simmer on low heat for 25 minutes until the green beans are fork-tender and the sauce has thickened. If the liquid evaporates too fast, add a splash of warm water. Serve hot in bowls.
