Lebanese Za'atar Halloumi Bites

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the halloumi cubes thoroughly dry with paper towels to make sure they get crisp when frying.

  2. 2

Mix the flour and za'atar mix together in a shallow bowl. Roll each halloumi cube in the mixture until lightly coated.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place the halloumi cubes into the hot oil with space between them.

  4. 4

Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, turning with tongs until all sides turn deep golden brown and crisp.

  5. 5

In a small bowl, whisk the labneh, lemon juice, and chopped mint until smooth and creamy.

  6. 6

Remove the skillet from the heat, drain the halloumi on paper towels, and serve warm immediately with the labneh dip.
