Crispy Pan-Fried Pork Wontons
Crispy bottoms with a juicy pork and scallion filling, made quickly in a pan.

Instructions

Finely chop the green onions and grate the fresh ginger into a medium mixing bowl.

Add ground pork, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the bowl. Stir vigorously until the mixture becomes sticky.

Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper, wet the edges with water, and fold into triangles.

Heat 15 ml of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Arrange the wontons in a single layer and fry for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottoms are deep golden brown.

Pour 30 ml of water into the skillet, cover immediately with a lid, and steam over medium-low heat for 3 minutes.

Remove the lid, add remaining oil around the pan edges, and cook for 1 minute until the bottoms crackle crisp.
